This innovative workflow design establishes distinct zones for patient care and for family or visitors. It features:
- Barrier-Free® exam table with integrated scale
- Computer workstation for optimal information access
- Mobile cart for easy access to supplies
- Efficient Care Zone
Because the patient is seated on the Barrier-Free® exam table throughout the visit, there is no delay due to transfer or repositioning.
Flexibility and proximity increase efficiency by reducing the need to move away from the patient to retrieve instruments and/or supplies.
All medical data is accessible at the point of care, improving caregiver-patient interaction.
- Supply Proximity
A mobile supply cart with well-organized drawers can be retrieved from a dock in the adjacent cabinet. This separates supplies from the public zone and puts them in close proximity to patient care.
The supply cart also provides an additional work surface, positioned left or right of the caregiver.
- Public/Private Zones
In this room with dedicated zones, the family/visitor zone, or public zone, is easily accessible from the entrance. The public zone includes seating as well as a dressing nook for the patient. It provides privacy, but does not infringe on the efficiency of the care zone, or private zone.
The separate care zone is highly efficient, with a Barrier-Free® exam table and a mobile cart for easy access to instruments and supplies.
- Barrier-Free Access
In this barrier-free layout, the center of the room is kept open to allow a 60-in. wheelchair turning area and transfer of the patient to the exam table.
The distance from the door to the corner of the room (18 in.) is needed for patient egress.
The Barrier-Free® exam table is fully accessible, providing greater safety for patients and caregivers.
